LG K42 launched in India with US military grade durability

The LG K42 comes with an HD + punch-hole display, four rear cameras and a 4,000mAh battery.

LG has launched a replacement budget smartphone in India. The LG K42 made its debut last year, and comes with MIL-STD-810G certification, making it strong enough to pass nine categories of the US military defense standard.

The LG K42 is priced at 10,990, and can be available exclusively on Flipkart from 26 January. LG is offering a 2-year extended warranty with a free one-time screen replacement on the smartphone. It comes in two color options Gray and Green. The smartphone also has a punch-hole display, which is one of the few budget phones with this design.

In terms of specs, the LG K42 features a 6.6-inch HD + display with aperture camera. It is powered by MediaTek's Helio P23 processor with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The smartphone has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and also has a Google Assistant button. Double tapping Google Assistant launches a visual snapshot for weather, schedule, and other information.

The LG K42 has a 13-megapixel primary camera, a 5-megapixel wide angle lens, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. It has AI-based camera features and a Google lens integrated into the camera. For the selfie, the LG K42 has an 8-megapixel front camera. The smartphone packs a 4,000mAh battery.

The launch of LG K42 comes at a time when the company is rumored to be out of the smartphone industry. LG plans to resolve the issues of its smartphone business this year with possibilities to withdraw, withdraw and mitigate.
