Samsung's recently launched smartphone, the Galaxy S20 FE5G, is beginning to receive an update that improves its touchscreen stability. Apart from this, users are also getting the January 2021 Android security patch. Although not sure when this firmware update will arrive in India, according to a Sammobile report, it has begun in countries across Europe.

It is worth noting that this is the company's fourth firmware update that includes touchscreen stability improvements. Reportedly, the Galaxy S20 FE 5G update brings the firmware version to G81BXXU1BUA5. The OS update weighs some 263MB.

The firmware rollout came after some Galaxy S20FE 5G users took to the forums a few months ago to complain about the touchscreen stability issue. According to some users, the ghost registers and stutters when scrolling or zooming in the smartphone UI.

Some users speculated that this problem may not be related to software, but rather to hardware and something that cannot be solved by mere updates. If you are a Galaxy S20 FE 5G user, you can check the firmware update by going to Settings> System Update> Check for System Update> Download Now> Install Update.

The S20 FE was launched in India in October last year for Rs 49,999. The s20fe spec comes in five color options Cloud Red, Cloud Lavender, Cloud Mint, Cloud Navy and Cloud White. Some of the key specs include a 6.5-inch FHD + Super AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, Exynos 990 chipset, 6GB / 8GB RAM, 128 / 256GB storage, 12-megapixel primary sensor including triple rear camera, 12-megapixel secondary sensor and 8 - Megapixels included.
